Lorraine Gamman is Professor of Design at the University of the Arts London. In 1999, she founded the award-winning Design Against Crime Research Centre at Central Saint Martins.

Adam Thorpe is Professor in Socially Responsive Design, Co-Director of the Design Against Crime Research Centre (DACRC) and founder of UAL’s DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) Lab.

Makeright team at HMP Thameside

Pras Gunasekera is an industrial designer and researcher. He currently manages the textile studio at HMP Thameside, co-delivers the Makeright Design course and is an Academic support tutor on BA Product Design and BA Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins. He is a research associate at the Design Against Crime Research Centre and the Socially Responsive Design Hub at Central Saint Martins.

  erikaErika Renedo Illarregi

Erika Renedo Illarregi is an industrial designer and researcher. She developed the Acumen Human Centered Design Course and the Innovate Inside Course for prison environments. She is running the Textile Workshop at HMP Thameside while continuously working for Bidean, the social enterprise for mental health she co-founded in 2013.
